See ReviewWho Manufacturers Bowflex Treadmills?
General Information:Starting with the original Bowflex, this company has been around for awhile and the brand name is one of the best known brands in the business. The Bowflex TreadClimber is a complex design and for the estimated number of units they have on the market, they have more problems that a regular treadmill. One TreadClimber customer we spoke with recently was on their 4th motor in 3 years.
Manufacturing Philosophy:Their design philosophy seems to be: make an irresistible offer and then try to cut corners where you can. The factory has really worked to get this complex design to perform very well with cheaper parts and the workout you get on a Bowflex is much more intense than on a regular treadmill. We have noted that they have problems with these machines and you tend to get lower quality for comparably priced models from other manufacturers.
Company Outlook : Bowflex is one of the brands of Nautilus. Nautilus has turned the tide on the losses of the past and has reported strong results compared with the last few years. Apparently they have really got their financial and business houses in order.
