The market has passed Bowflex and the parent company Nautilus behind. This unit simply isn't competitive.

The Bowflex Series 7 is a treadmill that we don't think is even worth considering. At $1,299, you can get much better options, particularly from NordicTrack. The market is steadily improving, and Bowflex has been left behind. Unless you can get this machine at a nice discount, look elsewhere. The quality, durability, and cushioning system are all well below what you should expect considering the price tag.

The walking area is a good size. The belt measures in at 20" x 60", which has become the standard size for walking belts found on many of today's treadmills. This should provide more than enough room for larger users to run on comfortably without altering their stride.

A nice motor powers this machine. It's very difficult to find a treadmill in this price range that has greater power producing capabilities. Speeds of up to 11 mph are attainable, so most users should have no problem challenging themselves.

A disappointing cushioning system comes on this model. Strike Zone cushioning is used to reduce the impact that running has on your joints and back. There are treadmills selling for half the price of this one that provide a more forgiving and durable running surface.

As far as projected reliability is concerned, this machine is horrible. There are several treadmills selling as low as $700 that have a longer life expectancy than this one has. The quality of parts used is also unimpressive at this price range.

The warranty on the Bowflex Series 7 is terrible. Labor and electronics are covered for 1 year, parts are covered for 2 years, the motor is covered for 10 years, and the frame is covered for 15 years. Only treadmills that sell for a few hundred dollars have worse warranties. This lack of coverage should give you a good idea of the durability of this machine.
