The Proform Cadence LT is an entry-level treadmill. The short warranty tells us that Icon must not have faith in their frame and motor lasting more than a year. The 90-day parts and labor warranty is a bit disappointing as well. Despite this, if you are a walker and smaller than average you may get a few years out of a Cadence LT. As we always say keep in mind how much you will spend on a machine.
The Proform Cadence LT has a great price and is easy to use, on the other hand, it is lacking in other important areas. Therefore, we have placed the Proform Cadence LT Treadmill our second-place winner for the 2021 Best Buy for the $399 and under price point.
The overall build of this Cadence LT is better than most of its competition in this price range. The Treadmill weighs in at roughly 109 LBS and is powered by a 2.25 HP motor. Icon says that has been tested at 10 MPH with a 275 LB adult. It must have been a short test; it is debatable that the lower controller would be capable of sustaining a large individual for long at that speed. The build of this Cadence is better than most at this price point. However, this treadmill comes with an ok warranty of 1 year for the frame and motor and 90 days parts and labor. This Proform is easy to operate with its 6 built-in programs and 2 position manual lift/incline. It is iFit compatible, which is Icon’s interactive fitness app that will cost you extra to activate. You would be better off taking that money and buying a better treadmill, than activating iFit.

The Proform Cadence LT is an entry-level treadmill. Its low cost makes it sensible to most budget-minded consumers. We have rated the Proform Cadence LT as a second-place winner for our 2021 Best Buy List of treadmills under $399. If you are a runner, above average height and weight this treadmill may be a gamble.
The control board went bad after 5 months. The replacement part cost 1/2 as much as I paid for the machine. A waste of money!
Well, I thought it would work out. I like to do casual running and high-impact walks. Right off the bad severe squeaking and belt was slipping. Maybe for a slow walker, it may be fine I don’t know. So I don’t recommend it. Has only 2 incline levels. Not much of a machine.
