Yowza Lido Treadmill Review
treadmill Doctor Note :
Very compact unit that is great if you have a very tight space. Big plus is the great warranty.
Due to the small size, you won't be able to run on this one but if you need it to fit into a tight space, this is a great option.
The Yowza Lido is a very compact treadmill. This is both good and bad because it will easily fit into small areas, but the size prevents you from being able to run on it. At $999, it's a value treadmill that uses a very good motor but is a bit lacking in quality and durability.
The walking area is small. The belt measures in at 17" x 51", which is 3" narrower and 9" shorter than the standard 20" x 60" walking belt that is found on many of today's treadmills. If you are used to the standard size belt, this one will probably feel a bit cramped.
A nice motor powers this machine. There are several treadmills that cost a few hundred dollars more than this one that have similar power producing capabilities, and very few models in this price range use better motors. Speeds of up to 8.8 mph are attainable, but due to the size of this treadmill, we wouldn't recommend using it for running.
A terrible cushioning system is used on this model. A Patented Swing Arm with Progressive Shock Absorption Deck is used to reduce the impact that running has on your joints and back. There aren't many treadmills that we reviewed that come with a less forgiving and durable running surface.
As far as projected reliability is concerned, this model isn't great. Most of the treadmills that sell in this price range have a longer life expectancy. The quality of parts used is also disappointing.
The warranty on the Yowza Lido is great. In-home labor is covered for 1 year, parts and electronics are covered for 3 years, and the frame and motor is covered for life. You're not going to find better coverage on a treadmill that sells for this little.
