Brief Overview

The Agile DMT X2 gives you extreme adjustability and solid quality. Our Best Buy Award Winner for 2014.

Overall Quality

Smooth Agile DMT X2 Review The Smooth Agile DMT X2 is a solid quality trainer. For the past 2 years, it climbed up from our 2nd Runner Up in 2012, then 1st Runner Up in 2013, and now it earned our Best Buy Winner 2014 Award in the $1999 category. This may not be the ideal price for everyone but if you want extremely adjustable and solid, quality trainer, this is the best you can get when you have a $2000 budget. Why it is a hard to beat this trainer Excellent warranty coverage Getting the Smooth Agile DMT X2 will also give you warranty that will prove its worth. While you get a lifetime warranty on both frame and brake, you also get a generous 7 year warranty on parts, 2 years on labor, a 60-day money back guarantee, and a partridge in a pear tree. Adjustable stride length Aside from its solid build, users who are fond of letting their family members use their trainers should really be happy. The Smooth Agile DMT X2 sports an adjustable stride length from 18 to 21 inches. With this you can target different muscle groups, especially the lower body muscles, which most users want to work out. The bells and whistles of the Smooth Agile DMT X2 As a higher-tier residential machine, users can fully expect the reliable features it provides, coupled with adjustability and quality. It includes a built-in cooling fan, a sound system that supports MP3 players, and a wireless chest strap to fully utilize the wireless HR monitoring it provides. On top of these is the iPod docking station it has. If you have an iPod, you can fully utilize it for a more enjoyable workout. Good ergonomics What you can expect from a $2000 trainer is the patented ergonomic pivoting pedals. With this feature, users can reduce fatigue or discomfort caused with other machines when pedaling. This design also increases your workout productivity as it eliminates impact while shaping your body muscles. Armed with the patented Lite Touch Thumb Control Talking about convenience, you can just slide your thumb up and down to conveniently adjust the intensity and motion of your workout. This feature is coupled with an infrared sensor so you can change your intensity settings in just a stroke of your thumb. Uses standard handlebar only Smooth could've had made them cushioned or molded just to raise user comfort, which is an important factor that every manufacturer should consider. Other ellipticals cheaper than the Smooth Agile DMT X2 already sport great features that greatly satisfy user comfort. The somewhat useless features Has transport wheels This machines claims to be mobile. It has transport wheels that will let move the machine easier anywhere you want. This is contradictory to the size and weight of this elliptical. This is relatively big and heavy. If you are Lou Ferrigno in his prime, you will be using this feature all the time. Our say: We recommend the Smooth Agile DMT X2 for serious exercisers. It gives you rock-solid quality, adjustability, top-tier stability, and an excellent warranty. But if you are on those users who enjoy variety and more workout programs, this trainer might not be your ideal machine.

This would be a fantastic treadmill if it wouldn’t break all the time. Very smooth and comfortable. However, motor has now broken for the 4th time. The first two times was able to order a motor to replace it. Third motor found on eBay thankfully. Now, it’s a piece of garbage because we can’t find parts for this elliptical anywhere. Too bad because it was could’ve been a really nice machine.
