A few cosmetic changes weren't as needed as much as a price reduction. A high quality machine though and excellent for those you want to buy one and not have to worry about it.

The Landice L7 Cardio Trainer is a solid treadmill. At $4,399, they're asking for a lot, but this model requires only minimal maintenance. Also, this is one of Landice's cheapest models. They have habit of creating very high quality machines and charging too much for them.

The walking area on this model is a decent size. The belt measures in at 20" x 58", which is a good 2" shorter than the standard 20" x 60" walking belt that is found on many of today's treadmills. This should still provide plenty of room for larger users to run on comfortably.

A very nice motor powers this machine. There are, however, a couple of treadmills that have similar power producing capabilities selling at or below $2,000. Speeds of up to 12 mph are attainable, so even experienced runners should have no problem challenging themselves.

A decent cushioning system comes on this model. The Standard VFXPlus Shock Absorption System is used to reduce the impact that running has on your joints and back. Landice claims it, "is five times softer than grass, and does more for protecting knees than the competitor's shock absorption system." You can find treadmills that offer similarly forgiving and durable running surfaces for much cheaper.

As far as projected reliability is concerned, this machine is great. If you want a treadmill with a longer life expectancy, you're definitely going to have to pay more to get it. The quality of parts used is also very impressive.

The warranty on the Landice L7 Cardio Trainer is fantastic. Labor is covered for 1 year and all parts are covered for life. This is an impressive warranty, and the fact that Landice was willing to offer this much coverage tells you all you need to know about the durability of this treadmill.
