It has all the features that you would expect from True along with the price tag you expect from True.

The True PS850 is a quality treadmill that sells for $4,699. It's also packed with features to make your exercise routine more enjoyable. $1,200 extra will get you into the ES series, which offers much more durable machines. It's up to you whether or not you think the extra money is worth it.

The walking area is quite large. The belt measures in at 21" x 60", which is a good 1" wider than the standard 20" x 60" walking belt that comes on most of today's treadmills. Larger users that have a wider stance and are accustomed to the standard belt size may find this model to be more accommodating.

You get a very powerful motor in this machine. There aren't very many treadmills that sell for under $4,000 that have comparable power producing capabilities. You can reach speeds of up to 12 mph with this model, so even experienced users shouldn't have a problem challenging themselves.

A great cushioning system comes on this treadmill. An orthopedic belt is used along with Soft System adjustable cushioning to reduce the impact that running has on your joints and back. Soft System uses a softer impact zone along with a firmer take off point. You'll have trouble finding a more forgiving and durable running surface in any price range.

As far as projected reliability is concerned, this machine is okay. Many of the models in this price range have a similar life expectancy, but there are several models that sell much cheaper that we expect to last just as long. The quality of parts is also good but unimpressive at this cost.

The warranty on the True PS850 is good. The headphone jack, iPod connector, and USB port are covered for 6 months no labor; labor is covered for 1 year; parts are covered for 10 years; the motor is covered for 30 years; and the frame is covered for life.
