True ES 900 with Touch Screen Treadmill Review

treadmill Doctor Note :

The big enchalada for True with their new touch screen. I would skip the screen and get the regular ES 900 model.

If you want the best of the best, this is your option from True.

The True ES 900 with Touch Screen is a very solid treadmill. It's the exact same model as the ES 900 with, you guessed it, a touch screen included. It sells for $6,899, which is $1,000 more than the regular ES 900. We can't imagine why anyone would want a touch screen so bad that they would be willing to pay an extra $1,000 for it, but to each their own.

The walking area on this model is quite large. The belt measures in at 22" x 60", which is a solid 2" wider than the standard 20" x 60" walking belt found on most of today's treadmills. Larger users with a wider stance that are used to the standard size walking belts may find this treadmill to be more accommodating.

You'll get a really nice motor in this machine, but it's not wrong to expect a little more. At $6,899 you should be getting the absolute best, and there are several models that sell for a couple of thousand dollars less than this one that have more power producing capabilities. Speeds of up to 12 mph are attainable, so even experienced runners should have no problem challenging themselves.

A very impressive cushioning system comes on this treadmill. Soft System uses neoprene shock absorbers in the front of the deck provide a softer impact area while the back of the deck is firmer to allow a stronger push off. The firmness levels are also adjustable. Very few models in any price range can top this cushioning system.

As far as projected reliability is concerned, this model does quite well. There are one or two models that sell for cheaper than have a longer life expectancy than this one, but they are few and far between. The quality of parts is also very nice.

The noise levels of this machine are extremely low. You're not going to find a single model we reviewed that has a quieter operation. If low noise levels are important to you, this model won't disappoint.

The warranty on the True ES 900 with Touch Screen is good. The headphone jack, iPod connector, and USB port are covered for 6 months no labor; labor is covered for 2 years; the 15" touch screen is covered for 5 years; parts are covered for 10 years; and the frame and motor are covered for life.
