Designed with a mix of structural steel, the Spirit XBR25 Recumbent Cycle has a sufficient weight of 132 lbs. fully assembled and can hold a maximum weight of 350 lbs. The residential warranty covers a lifetime on the frame and brake, 5 years on parts, and 1 year on labor. It is tailored towards moderate use and will give the lucky purchaser many years of worry-free workout periods.

Brief Overview

The Spirit XBR25 Recumbent Cycle was our fourth-place winner for the 2021 Best Buy for the $1000 to $1499 price point and has quite a few features that keep it competitive with other models on top of the generous warranties listed above. At 4.6’, the XBR25 has a smaller footprint and comes with two attached wheels for easy movement after use. It is a basic model built tough to last and would be a worthy investment for anyone looking to ride their way to optimal fitness health.

Overall Quality

The Spirit XBR25 Recumbent Cycle has a small 7.5” blue backlit display screen that is easy to read and displays pertinent performance information. The console features 6 built in programs, convenient program keys, and is adjustable so knocking knees on longer legs will not be a problem. A fan sits right in the middle to help stay cool and blow the sweat away during workout fun. The flywheel is a decent 20 lbs. and offers 20 levels of resistance for cardio building exercise while a continuous smooth performance is enabled by the 8-groove belt drive. Heartrates are captured through the easy grip handlebars and can be used to format future training sessions for users working on increasing their overall health. It is important to note the seat stays in a fixed upright position though it can move back and forth to accommodate longer and shorter legs and is made from a breathable mesh material.
