If Quantum is trying to break into the tread market, they need to give you more of a reason than a 22" wide belt.
General Information
Quantum was started by in the 1990’s and they were well known for their commercial abdominal machines and introduced some innovative products in the commercial arena. They have decided to branch out and make many more products for the home market, including treadmills.
Quality / Philosophy
It appears that Quantum is trying to package a machine in an affordable price point with an acceptable level of quality. Fit and finish still needs to be worked upon but their machine did very well in our tests. Overall, with Lifefitness, True, and Precor stepping up to the plate in these price ranges, we wonder why you would buy a Quantum.
Outlook
We’re not sure where Quantum will end up. They have good designers but with so many factories fighting over a limited number of specialty retailers, it will be interesting to see where Quantum ends up once all of this shakes out.
