The bouquets

Excellent big frame motor generating great power

This is a large frame 3.8 HP motor delivering superb thrust for extreme runners, helping them attain 12 mph speeds easily with minimum noise. This motor comes with a lifetime warranty and is fine-tuned to crunch extreme workouts without creating a ruckus. This is excellent value for the money because the motor matches the power output of even high end models.

The walking belt matches the best in this category

It's a good combination of a 3.8 HP motor and an expansive tread belt measuring 22" X 60" that encourages serious runners to rev up extreme workouts. The powerful motor and smooth drive components merge seamlessly to deliver an enjoyable treadmilling experience.

Outstanding cushioning affords maximum protection from injuries

This is definitely one of the highlights of this treadmill - its excellent cushioning system - great news for extreme runners wanting to stretch the limits of endurance training without worrying about injuries.

Varied decline/inclines enable a more realistic "outdoor" experience

An outstanding running surface that is gentle on one's knees is made more challenging by -3% decline and 15% incline which help simulate downhill and uphill running conditions. This makes the treadmill ideal for workouts that help you shed weight while toning muscles.

iFit feature helps you tackle more challenging race tracks

This model is iFit ready and brings you exciting variations through Google Maps that help you race international tracks by simulating local conditions. The excellent cushioning support and the incline variation support provided by this treadmill make running an enjoyable and safe experience.

Excellent warranty that adds value to the product

The treadmill frame and motor enjoy lifetime warranty, and there's 5 years for parts and 2 years for labor. A good motor, good quality deck components and excellent warranty support is what makes this treadmill truly special.

This is a folding treadmill

It's a plus point that this treadmill is the space saving folding type, but you have to plan your space because when it unfolds you may find 76.8" L x 38.6" W x 67.9" H, quite a handful.

And the criticisms...

Customer service issues could bug you

Proform's sturdy reliability and excellent build quality sits nervously with Icon's poor customer service reputation. Icon is producing machines in such high volumes that after-sales servicing is not getting the attention it deserves, so you need to tolerate servicing glitches (slow emergency response, late parts delivery) while buying this otherwise superb treadmill.

The final diagnosis

The Proform Pro 7000 was a strong contender in the Best Fold-Up Award category priced between $1,500-$1,999, and if Sole F85 emerged as winner it is purely due to Sole's superior service.

We love the new look of the black paint. Great looking machine with some of the best drive system parts we have ever seen in a Proform.
