How long will the Proform Trainer 8.0 last?

The biggest benefit of choosing the Trainer 8.0 over some of Proform’s more feature-packed treadmills is that you get a stronger treadmill at this price. With that said, keep in mind that this treadmill is still considered a lower end treadmill. If you are a serious runner, you would be better off with a more expensive treadmill that has more quality. But, for a moderate jogger or light runner, the Proform Trainer 8.0 should last a good two years if not longer with proper care.

Brief Overview

If you are a light runner and looking for an affordable treadmill, the Proform Trainer 8.0 may be for you. Our Second Place 2020 Best Buy Award for the $1,000 to $1,299 dollar range offers a solid build with a decent number of features. More importantly, we have seen some great sales so you may end up really loving the Trainer 8.0.

Overall Quality

We are glad to see a little less iFit advertising and a little more treadmill with the Trainer 8.0. Instead of spending more and more on additional features, Proform used their Trainer 8.0 budget more on the treadmill build. Now, if you like the bells and whistles, you will surely find a similarly priced item that has a little less build and some better features. But the Trainer 8.0 isn’t a complete dud and may be worth your while if you are a more frequent user. With 32 on-board workouts, twelve-speed levels, twelve incline settings, and a better warranty the Trainer 8.0 is not a treadmill to roll your eyes at.

But if a decent build and slightly above average features don’t entice you, maybe a sales price tag will! We are aware of some markets that are selling the Trainer 8.0 as low as $800 dollars from now until the end of 2019 December. If there are places willing to knock that much off the price tag, you can more than likely find at least a few hundred dollars off even after the sale. And at a lower price- the Trainer 8.0 is a very good value.

We have not reviewed the Proform Trainer 8.0 in the past. But we welcome you to check out our other Proform treadmills to get a good feel of the brand.

We decided to award the Trainer 8.0 our Second Place 2020 Best Buy Award largely because Proform has built this model with good quality parts. Thought they sacrificed some of the bells and whistles, Proform built a sturdier machine and kept the affordable price tag. So, if you are a moderate jogger or light runner, the Proform Trainer 8.0 may be for you.
