Bragging rights...

Outstanding motor powerful enough to boost a great workout

A 3.25 HP motor that is almost high-end even though we stand in the sub $1,500 bracket. Runners can expect a smooth and superior performance and a softer workout with lower vibration and less noise.

Great belt size and outstanding cushioning providing the safest foundation for power training

The size of 20" x 60" is ideal for walking belts providing just the right width and stride length to suit all categories of runners and professional trainers. Consider that you are gaining stride length while minimizing console intrusion into your running area.

The ProShox cushioning system is quietly efficient for a machine that stands in the sub $1,500 price range. Proform says impact protection exceeds 28% compared to competitive models. More value for money.

Heavier runners can breathe easy

User load up to 350 pounds can be tackled by this machine but a small degree of belt slippage can't be avoided if you weigh in at 350 lbs.

This is a folding treadmill

The folding feature is an advantage, but dimensions of 81" L x 37" W x 59" H leave a large footprint so you need to plan space before buying it.

Outstanding warranty that adds tremendous value to this product

The treadmill enjoys a lifetime frame and motor warranty, 5 year parts warranty and 2 years labor coverage which is excellent for this price range.

Drawbacks from the viewpoint of the user...

Expensive for average budget buyers

If you are not a serious runner or professional runner and if your budget is too modest for this treadmill cheaper options at the low end would be desirable, like the Proform Power 995C which is a great buy at the sub $1,000 price point.

This treadmill may be over delivering for your limited needs

Any treadmill that is overshooting the budget and which delivers high-end features that you won't need can be sidestepped in favor of something more suited to your individual requirements.

Our verdict

For a treadmill priced at $1,299, you are assured of Proform quality like never before. The company has created a fantastic product in a highly competitive price slab, that too backed by a superb warranty. Talk about having your cake and eating it too!

Hopefully you won't need to use Proform's service and with the quality in this unit, you shouldn't need it.
