How long will the Proform Carbon TL last?

The Proform Carbon TL is a great at home solution to get your "fit" on. It comes with a nice variety of programs, an iPod input jack, and easy to use controls. The Carbon TL has many standard features found on other treadmills in its’ price range including adjustable stride length, 10 levels of resistance, and 20 pre-programmed workouts on a 5” backlit display. Proform’s frames are built to last so we do not think this machine will disappoint with the 10-year frame warranty.

Brief Overview

The Carbon TL is a strong member of the Proform foldable family. The 5” screen is slightly disappointing but at this price, the other amenities more than make up for the screen size. Max capacity is 300 lbs. and offers ProShox cushioning devised in the deck design which provides a flexible landing with every step you run or walk.

Overall Quality

The Proform Carbon TL treadmill comes with an EKG handlebar which provides stability as well as training benefits as you can measure your heart rate while you train. Other technology that this treadmill comes equipped with is the Bluetooth connectivity which allows you to link your tablet or phone for easy access to workout apps like iFit Coach and MapMyFitness. With this feature, you can stream custom courses and routes to your treadmill from the iFit Coach app, use Google Maps for turn-by-turn directions to motivate you on your run, or connect directly with elite trainers at the simple touch of a button.

This treadmill has a 0 to 10 incline feature so you can simulate running up hills, in turn, improving your aerobic capacity while increasing muscle strength. QuickSpeed® buttons make it easy to adjust your intensity during your workout. The running space is not quite gold standard but will do for the moderate jogger. The devil is in the details and Proform lives up to its’ reputation for quality, indoor cardio equipment with this model.
