How long will the Proform 440 ES – Recumbent last?

Built with a solid steel construction, the Proform 440 ES Recumbent cycle is sturdily built with a roughly 135 lb. assembled weight. With a 350 lb. weight capacity, this bike was built to last with light to moderate use. The warranty is rather disappointing but at least it covers 10 years on the frame and 1 year on parts and labor. Users who take time to take care of their machine will get quite a few years of workout pleasure from this cycle.

Brief Overview

The Proform 440 ES Recumbent cycle is designed to fit into any home workout space with its 5.6’ frame. It offers a smooth ride and is iFit enabled which opens a world of possibilities with elite trainers who control the bike’s resistance and travel the globe during cycling sessions. There is also entrance to an ever-growing library of workouts to choose from allowing users to stay motivated each step of the way.

Overall Quality

The Proform 440 ES Recumbent has 25 levels of magnetic resistance that offers smooth changes between levels along with an 18 lb. flywheel built to perform and offering a steady pedaling experience. The pedals themselves are wide and have adjustable straps to keep feet securely in place during workout sessions. A quick touch of a button always users to change resistance but iFit members have the option of letting the trainers take control during intense training to allow focus to remain fully on the exercise. It also has a convenient tablet holder that is adjustable and grips streaming devices securely along with a heartrate monitor located in the handlebars. The seat moves back and forth for different leg lengths, but larger users need to be aware the seat does not adjust to allow more room to sit although it does offer lumbar support.
