Like we explain in the rest of the review, we are a little skeptical of the NordicTrack Commercial VR21 Recumbent. We love a great value just as much as the other guy. But there comes a time when you have to question how a company could include so much for so little and still make money- especially a company that overcharges on a lot of their other machines. Thus, with a little caution, we would recommend the Commercial VR21 Recumbent for a beginner or light user looking to get a cheaper recumbent bike.
We try and remind readers in many of our bike reviews that the style of bike you choose is largely dependent upon the type of user you are and the workout you need. If you are in the market for a recumbent bike and you want something that will last a good while, then the NordicTrack Commercial VR21 Recumbent could be the bike for you. With a decent quality for a reasonable price, the NordicTrack Commercial VR21 Recumbent is a good fit for out 2020 Third Place Best Buy slot for the $700 to $999 dollar range.
For starters, recumbent bikes are not necessarily bikes for those looking to bulk up and slim down. Recumbent bikes are better suited for people wishing to improve their circulation or just keep up some regular exercise. Other cycling bikes offer more of a full-body workout while the recumbents mainly workout your legs.
A recumbent bike may be just what you are looking for, and if so, then the NordicTrack Commercial VR21 Recumbent is a good place to start. Emphasis on the place to start. But before we start in with the things we don’t care for, let’s talk about the good features. The Commercial VR21 Recumbent is a good example of what we do like about NordicTrack: a good quality for the price which makes this bike a good value overall. NordicTrack has included a five-inch LED screen with thirty-two built-programs. Some bikes in this price range do not even have a console much less a multitude of preprogrammed workouts. The Commercial VR21 Recumbent also has a pretty solid build and a decent warranty for the price.
Still, we do have a few concerns. We are not sure how long the quality in the Commercial VR21 Recumbent will actually last. It is a little hard to believe NordicTrack could include so much for so little. But maybe we are too cynical; it may still be a good idea though to try out a Commercial VR21 Recumbent before you buy.

We have yet to review the Commercial VR21 Recumbent. We invite you to look into our other NordicTrack reviews to get a better perspective of their machines.
Bottom line, we like the Commercial VR21 Recumbent for the amount of quality that it offers for the price the bike is listed at. But we do realize that NordicTrack has not always been the most trustworthy company and their products can be a tad cheap. Though we have awarded the Commercial VR21 Recumbent our Third Place 2020 Best Buy award for the $700 to $999 dollar range, we recommend trying this bike out before you buy to make sure it feels quality too.
