As far as durability goes for the Commercial 12.9, we would like to preface our predictions with a little caution. We have heard a few horror stories of people who get some Commercial 12.9 that never work and just have issues. But for those who can get a good working model, you should see a great quality for an affordable price. We would recommend this elliptical for a light to a moderate user who is willing to take a risk. Keep in mind that taking care of your elliptical no matter which model you pick will be the biggest factor in ensuring a long-lasting machine.
There are a lot of companies in the fitness realm and NordicTrack is one of the biggest. They are known for offering a ton of features and affordable machines and the Commercial 12.9 is a great example of this culture. This elliptical offers a ton of features and a solid build all at an affordable price. We do have some features that we do not like, but we have still awarded the NordicTrack Commercial 12.9 our First Place 2021 Best Buy Award for the $1000 to $1499 range.
NordicTrack has not been in the market as a serious competitor for way too long but they have started to produce some real heavyweights especially in the affordable price ranges. The Commercial 12.9 gives you excellent features, solid quality, and a really good ellipse motion for your workouts. Other manufacturers, namely Sole, are really beginning to fall behind NordicTrack in terms of technology now that the NordicTrack technology actually works like it is supposed to. You get this new technology with a ten-inch touchscreen and thirty-five built-in workouts. On top of the features that help to make this an easy-to-use elliptical, Commercial 12.9 offers a relatively solid build. With a thirty-pound flywheel, 350-pound weight capacity, and 220-pound unit weight, we believe this elliptical will last a solid two years. We also like how this elliptical can offer the feature-based workout that most cannot access on a budget as well as a decent build for an affordable price. <br/> But we do have a few features that we are not overly thrilled about. First off, since NordicTrack has really come into the market as a real contender, they have yet to improve their customer service department. We constantly hear horror stories of dropped calls and difficulties. Additionally, we also want to note that we have heard testimonials of Commercial 12.9 lemons. Some customers have great experiences and others have a complete nightmare. You certainly take a risk when you purchase any Icon machine and we wish they would prove more reliable.

Our past reviews have commended the 12.9 Commercial NordicTrack for offering good features and a fluid movement for an affordable price. We have noted that the only drawback is their backend customer service.
Despite the poor testimonials, the NordicTrack Commercial 12.9 is still a great value for the price. It is difficult to ignore the technology, features, and decent build at such an affordable price. Though we do caution potential buyers, a light to a moderate user should be able to see a solid few years out of this elliptical. As a result, we have granted the NordicTrack Commercial 12.9 our First Place 2021 Best Buy Award for the $1000 to $1499 price bracket.
