This one will take a pounding and ask for more. If you need a serious treadmill, this is a good one to consider.

The NordicTrack C 1500 is a very good treadmill for $1,299. If you want a sturdy design, without paying an enormous price, you should consider this model. That's why it's our runner up for the Best Buy award for treadmills that cost between $1,000-1,299.

The walking area is fairly large. The belt comes in at 20" x 60". While this size isn't uncommon for this price range, it's rare for any model to go bigger. It should be enough to comfortably fit most user's stride.

The motor on this machine is good. It generates a standard amount of power for this price range. It's capable of moving the walking belt from 0-12 mph.

The Quadflex cushioning on this system is about what you'd expect. A lot of the machines around this price range offer similar impact relief, but it takes a couple of thousand extra dollars to find anyone who's willing to offer more.

We expect this treadmill to handle to stress of daily exercise very well, and it can handle users weighing up to 350 lbs. It's nowhere near the best on the market, but for it's price range, you'll be hard pressed to find a machine with a longer life expectancy. The quality of parts used isn't bad, but it's nothing special. They could have done better in this area, but it probably helped them keep this model so affordable.

The warranty on the NordicTrack C 1500 is one of the better ones you'll find. Labor is covered for 2 years; parts and electronics are covered for 5 years; and the frame, motor, and deck are covered for life. That shows that the manufacturer believes this model will last. You're going to have to pay significantly more to find a company that's willing to back their treadmill with a better warranty.
