Explanation of Results
Once you have made your selection, the manufacturer, model, TD Rating, TD Grade, and MSRP of the model will appear. The two factors assigned by Treadmill Doctor are the TD Rating which is our numerical rating for the motor and it varies on a scale from 10 to 1...10 being the best and 1 being the worst.
The TD Grade is the letter grade the motor received. They range from A to F. These grades mean as follows: A- Ultra Grade- Built to a standard that would hold up in a health club. B- Runner's Grade- Above average construction that can hold up to runners as well as walkers. C- Jogger's Grade- Average construction. Long-term will have problems with those who run on a treadmill. D- Walker's Grade- A motor built primarily for walkers. Will not hold up medium-term to a runner. F- Speculative Grade- Fractional HP motor. We speculate whether it will last for a walker or not.
