Yowza Osprey Treadmill Review
treadmill Doctor Note :
One of the best values of the Yowza lineup and if you can get it for less than $1000, it is a good deal.
Solid treadmill and if you can find it like we've seen it on sale for under $1000, that is a good deal.
The Yowza Osprey is a quality treadmill. At $1,099, it's Yowza's best value, but we've seen it sell for less than $1,000, at times. If you can find it for that price it's absolutely worth buying. The durability is already fairly impressive at this price, as are the components.
The walking area is a decent size. The belt measures in at 20" x 52", which is a solid 8" shorter than the standard 20" x 60" walking belt that is found on many of today's treadmills. The average users will most likely feel comfortable running on this treadmill without altering their stride.
A nice motor powers this machine. You can find treadmills selling for several hundred dollars more that have comparable power producing capabilities. Speeds of up to 11 mph are attainable, so most users should have no problem challenging themselves.
A disappointing cushioning system comes on this model. A Patented Swing Arm with Progressive Shock Absorption Deck is used to reduce the impact that running has on your joints and back. There are several treadmills that sell for less than $1,000 that offer a more forgiving or durable running surface.
As far as projected reliability is concerned, this machine is good. You'll have to pay at least a couple hundred extra dollars to find a treadmill with a longer life expectancy. The quality of parts used is also nice in this price range. These areas become particularly impressive if you can get this model discounted to a price below $1,000.
The warranty on the Yowza Osprey is good. In-home labor is covered for 2 years, parts and electronics are covered for 5 years, and the frame and motor are covered for life. You're not likely to find a better warranty at this low of a price.
