A highly priced Vision that is as solid a Vision as has been made. With that said, for the same money, you can get a club quality Lifefitness, Star Trac, or with a few more hundred the most impressive home treadmill made by True.

The Vision T80 Elegant is a solid treadmill. It has more programming options than you'll find with the T80 Classic. Still, it's a hard model to recommend at $5,199. The competition in this price range consists of some very high quality club models that blow this one out of the water.

The walking area is quite large. The belt measures in at 22" x 60", which is 2" wider than the standard 20" x 60" walking belt that is found on many of today's treadmills. Users with a wider stance that are used to the smaller belts may find this model to be more accommodating.

A motor that is very unimpressive at this high of a price powers this machine. There are a few treadmills that sell for less than $2,000 that have greater power producing capabilities than this one does. Speeds of up to 12 mph are attainable, so even experienced runners should have no problem challenging themselves.

A cushioning system that would be better suited for a $1,500 treadmill comes on this model. Ultra Zone cushioning is used to reduce the impact that running has on your joints and back. For more than $5,000, you should be getting a drastically more forgiving and durable running surface.

As far as projected reliability is concerned, this machine doesn't live up to its price tag. You can find treadmills selling for $3,000 less that have a longer life expectancy than this one does. The quality of parts is low for this price range.

The warranty on the Vision T80 Elegant is great. Labor is covered for 2 years, the parts and motor are covered for 5 years, and the frame is covered for life. The warranty is obviously the high point of this treadmill, which usually isn't a good thing.
