Who Manufacturers Universal Ellipticals?

General Information:From the same company that produces machines under the Bowflex and Schwinn brand names, the Nautilus Health and Fitness Group also produces machines under the Universal brand name. This is an entry level brand for Nautilus when most of the rest of what they offer is what we consider entry level as well. So this is the worst of the worst in regard to the quality of products Nautilus offers.

Manufacturing Philosophy:Their design philosophy seems to be to buy a brand name from the past, Universal, and then hope people have fond memories of the old Universal machines they used to work out on in a health club. The machines that are being sold new today under the Universal brand name have nothing in common with the machines from the past. These are on the level with all other cheaply made mass market brands that don't have an iconic brand name.

Company Outlook : Universal is one of the brands of Nautilus. Nautilus has turned the tide on the losses of the past and has reported strong results compared with the last few years. Apparently they have really got their financial and business houses in order.
