How long will the Proform 10.0 Trainer last?

The Proform Trainer 10.0 is like a mini steak that barely qualifies as one bite but for $599, it might be worth it. At the $1499 listed on the Proform site we saw, it is laughable. The 10.0 Trainer is an underwhelming machine that will not likely stand up to rigorous use, but it might be suitable for a light to moderate walker who wants something easy on their joints. If you're looking at this as your main training device and want something more durable, then there are plenty of options out there – sadly some are even in the same price range!

Brief Overview

The Proform Trainer 10.0 is not exempt from the power struggle between brands, and Icon seems to have put more of their chips into NordicTrack baskets than Proform's this year. Usually, a parent company would have comparable machines; but while tradeoffs are happening elsewhere with higher prices given up for better quality features or performance, then here they're still falling short on value as you can see by the sales prices offered in the past year.

Overall Quality

The Proform Trainer 10.0 treadmill comes with a 1-year iFit family membership, giving you full access to an expansive collection of worldwide workouts and studio classes that will get your heart rate up without ever leaving home! This machine also features 12% incline as well as a pivoting 7" HD touchscreen display for displaying data during workouts like distance covered or calories burned per minute while using this device. The 2.75 CHP motor delivers smooth operation at higher speeds of 12 MPH and is a powerful, yet cool and quiet option for those looking to get the most out of their workouts!
The Trainer 10.0 comes with a 350 lbs. weight capacity and offers 34 built in workouts with different types of courses. It has incline and speed controls on the heart rate/stability handle, which provides for a better workout experience. Proform’s design features cushioning throughout your deck area so you can enjoy walking, jogging, or running without experiencing pain in any of your joints!

History

The Proform Trainer 10.0 has previously been found lacking due to its over-inflated price. Now that the price is in the reasonable range this treadmill stacks up much better to its competition. Of course, you must find it in stock at the sale price – Proform’s website still shows this treadmill at the $1499 level which is definitely overrated. Also, we invite you to see our other treadmill reviews to help you narrow your search for your next fitness machine.

Conclusion

The Proform Trainer 10.0 is a sturdy, average-performing machine that has some unique features but ultimately falls short of the competition due to disappointing warranty coverage and an unimpressive design when compared with other treadmills in the $1500 range. Consequently, we do not find this treadmill worth purchasing at the $1499 price but if you can find it for $599 it is a definite steal!

So very disappointed in the fact that once stopped for longer than one minute you cannot restart where you left off. None of my other treadmills have timed out in one minute. That is usually not enough time to take a break, drink of water, answer the phone. No where in the details/specifications at the time of purchase noted this. In addition this isn’t noted in the user manual. The treadmill itself works fine but I wish I never bought it. Very unhappy!

The build quality appears to be fine. It takes a little while to put it together. It comes with a 1-year iFit membership. I mostly walk and jog so it is great for me. I bought it on sale for under $900 so I cannot complain. A 5-year warranty is available for $289.
