How long will the Proform Endurance 520 E last?

The Endurance 520 E Elliptical is constructed from steel and built to last for a few years of light to moderate use, but you cannot tell from the dismal warranty offered by Proform. They only see fit to cover 1 year on parts and 1 year on labor which is disappointing considering the price of this machine. Consumers will need to set up regular maintenance and take proper care of the Endurance 520 E which includes the act of simply unplugging after use. Taking these simple steps will add longer life to this machine.

Brief Overview

The Proform Endurance 520 E Elliptical is our 2022 3rd place Best Buy Award Winner for the $700 - $999 price range. It has a front drive system with a rigid frame that weighs a hearty 194 lbs. and holds users up to 300 lbs. maximum capacity. The Endurance 520 E contains several quality elements including the ability to connect to the iFit network bringing elite trainers and world-wide trekking destinations in the comfort of a home setting with a paid subscription.

Overall Quality

The Proform Endurance 520 E is a baseline elliptical with 18 digital levels of magnetic resistance that works with a 15 lb. flywheel to offer smooth performance and easy transitions during exercise sessions. There is a 20-degree incline feature that makes the 520 E competitive as it can transform alternative muscle groups on top of the normal body toning ability found in standard elliptical workouts. The 19” stride allows users of most heights to get the most from their training while oversized foot traps carry a non-slip surface and provide a number of comfortable standing positions for longer treks. The 520 E has a smaller display screen with a pleasing blue back light that is easy to read and displays several points of pertinent performance data. It has touchscreen capabilities and Bluetooth connectivity allowing for favorites tunes through the speakers or training on the iFit platform.

That Guy- Easy to DisassembleJun 16, 2020

This is a terrible elliptical. Firstly, as other reviewers have written, they will try and extort you for a gym membership. Just hold the ifit button for 20 seconds to bypass it. Secondly, it breaks all the time. Firstly, one of the track slide wheels fractured, almost throwing me off the machine. Secondly, the eddy mechanism broke and began spraying ground up paint dust out of the machine. The machine going wrong would not be a problem if the warranty service was good. So far I have spent more than 2 hours on call with no resolution. In fact, twice I was connected, they refused to help me.
