Reebok Competitor RT 8.0 Treadmill Review

treadmill Doctor Note :

It is very rare for Reebok to have an exceptionally strong treadmill. If this treadmill were a steak, it is so rare that a Vet might still have a chance to save it!

Reebok Competitor RT 8.0 Treadmill Review

Overall Rating: 6.76

Arguably one of the best Reebok treadmills ever built. Very solid construction and high quality components in key areas.

The Reebok Competitor RT 8.0 is a very good treadmill that sells for $1,299. We aren't used to being impressed by models from Reebok, but this one is breaking the mold. It's a much better choice than the V 8.90 that sells for the same price. If you're looking for the best Reebok, there are many reasons to believe this is it.

The walking area is a good size. The belt measures in at 20" x 60", which has become the standard size walking belt on most of today's treadmills. This should provide plenty of room for larger users to run on comfortably without altering their stride.

A very nice motor powers this machine. You'll have to pay about $2,000 before you find models with greater power producing capabilities. You can reach speeds of up to 12 mph, so even experienced runners should be able to challenge themselves.

You'll get a very nice cushioning system on this treadmill. StrideFlex adjustable cushioning is used to reduce the impact that running has on your joints and back. You're not going to find a more forgiving or durable running surface in this price range.

As far as projected reliability is concerned, this machine does well. There are very few models at this price point that have a longer life expectancy than this one does. The quality of parts is also impressive. It's not common for Reebok to beat out the comparably priced competition in quality, but this model does just that.

The warranty on the Reebok Competitor RT 8.0 is pathetic. Parts and Labor are covered for 1 year, while the motor and frame are covered for life. It's sad that Reebok would make such a high-quality, durable treadmill and not back it up with an appropriate amount of coverage.
