Proform Pro 4500 Treadmill Review
treadmill Doctor Note :
If you told me a few years ago I would consider buying a $2000 Proform, I would have tried to have you committed, but I would consider this one!
Proform is making an excellent $2,000 unit. My only hesitation would be their legendary customer service dept. but with the quality of this machine, chances are you would never need it.
The Proform Pro 4500 is an excellent treadmill sold for $1,999. There's not one category that displays a glaring weakness for this model. If you're willing to spend this much, this is a model worth looking at, although some of the NordicTrack Commercial treadmills may be a better option in this price range.
The walking area on this treadmill is a good size. The 2-ply belt measures in at 20" x 60", which has become the standard size for walking belts. This should provide enough area for users with larger strides to be able to run on comfortably.
A great motor runs this machine. It's got power producing capabilities that are rarely beat by other $2,000 models. You have to spend about $4,000 to get a treadmill with a motor that is significantly better than this one. It can reach speeds of up to 12 mph, so even experienced runners should be able to challenge themselves.
The cushioning system on this model is excellent. FS2 Full Surface Suspension is used to reduce the impact that running has on your joints and back. It's difficult to find a more forgiving and longer lasting cushioning system than this one at any price.
The projected reliability is impressive, even within its price range. It has a life expectancy that is similar to many models that cost $3,000 or more. The quality of parts is opulent.
This treadmill is also very quiet during operation. If low noise levels are important to you, you should give this model serious consideration.
The warranty on the Proform Pro 4500 is very good. Labor is covered for 2 years, parts are covered for 5 years, and the frame and motor are covered for life. This is the kind of coverage you hope for, as it shows the manufacturer isn't afraid to stand behind their product.
