A real bright spot in the Proform lineup. Key components are quality and some corners are cut to get the price to $1000.

The Proform Power 995C is a decent treadmill that is sold for a very reasonable price. Its price is so good in relation to its value that we gave it our Best Buy award for treadmills in the $700-$999 range. If you're looking to save some cash and get an above average treadmill, this is definitely a model that is worth looking at.

The motor on this machine is quite powerful when you consider that it sells for $999. The motor is significantly better than what you would find in your average model. Similar motors are found in other treadmills that sell anywhere from $200-$1,000 higher than this one.

The cushioning system is good as well. This model utilizes ProShox Technology. This works by using an air-based absorption system that responds to your movements to keep your muscles tense throughout your stride. Proform claims this will help you to strengthen and tone. While this system is only available with Proform machines, you can find cushioning systems that offer comparable impact relief in treadmills that are slightly cheaper, but also in treadmills that are much more expensive.

The reliability of this treadmill is better than the average treadmill. When you consider that it's priced well below most treadmills, that is a big plus. Several of the higher priced treadmills will falter, while this one will still be ready for your morning exercise sessions.

Proform probably could have done a better job with the warranty, but when you consider that it's just an average treadmill sold a good price, it's easy to see why they would want to hold back in this area. The motor and frame are covered for life, so you're set in that department. Your parts are covered for 3 years, which is certainly nothing to complain about.
