Proform Power 795 Treadmill Review
treadmill Doctor Note :
Hard to argue that you won't find much better for $799. Some shortcomings on parts but a lot of value for the money.
Not a bad unit for a budget price but there are some serious corners cut in order to get the price down to the $800 price range.
The Proform Power 795 is one of the best budget treadmills you can find. It's still going to have some flaws because it's impossible to make a model that can turn a profit at this low of a price without allowing for a few weak spots.
The walking area is a good size. The belt measures in at 20" x 56"'. This is a good 4" shorter than your standard 20" x 60" walking belt, but it should be plenty of room for individuals with larger strides to use comfortably.
The motor in this machine is about the best you can get for $799. Its power producing capabilities are hard to match without paying at least an extra couple hundred dollars. You can reach speeds of up to 12 mph on this treadmill, but we wouldn't recommend using it to run. The structure and drive system will hold up better if this model is used strictly for walking.
You'll get a good cushioning system with this machine. ProShox Elite 2 Cushioning is used to reduce the impact of walking on your joints and back. It's extremely difficult to find a more forgiving and longer lasting impact resisting running surface for this cheap.
The projected reliability of this model is excellent. You're not going to find a model with a longer life expectancy without paying at least $1,000. The quality of parts is impressive for the cost, but keep in mind, that some corners had to be cut. If you want to save money on your treadmill by buying a model like this one, you're going to have to accept some sacrifices.
The warranty on the Proform Power 795 isn't bad when you consider the price. Labor is covered for 1 year, parts are covered for 2 years, and the frame is covered for life. This kind of coverage is nice to find on cheap models.
