NordicTrack C 700 Treadmill Review
treadmill Doctor Note :
Solid treadmill for the money but some short cuts have to be taken to get a treadmill down to this price.
Some corners are cut to get the price down below the $900 mark. Overall it is a good value for the money.
The NordicTrack C 700 is a decent treadmill. At $899, you're getting as good a machine as you can hope for. Just remember, this is a low price point for fitness equipment, so NordicTrack had to make sacrifices to keep the costs down. If your budget is tight, this model is worth considering.
The walking area isn't a bad size. At 22" x 58", it's a good 2" shorter than your standard 20" x 60" walking belt. Still, this should be enough size to accommodate the stride of most users. At such a low price, it's common to see companies that provide a much smaller area on which to walk.
The motor on this machine is good. When looking at sub-$1,000 treadmills, you're not going to find a model with more power producing capabilities. It's really quite impressive to see a motor like this in a treadmill that costs $899.
The cushioning system works very well. DualFlex Cushioning is used to reduce the impact that running has on your joints and back. It has such a forgiving surface that it rivals several models that cost more than $2,000.
The projected reliability is great. Aside from a few models by Proform, you can't find treadmills selling for under $1,000 that have a life expectancy this long. Some of the models that cost a couple thousand dollars extra won't last as long as we believe this model will. The quality of parts is much better than you would think when you see the $899 price tag.
The noise level isn't great, but you can't expect much better from such an inexpensive model. If you really want a quiet machine, you're going to have to spend a little more.
The warranty on the NordicTrack C 700 is below average. Labor is covered for 1 year, parts are covered for 2 years, and the motor and frame are covered for life.
