Livestrong 10.0T Treadmill Review
treadmill Doctor Note :
A very strong $999 machine that has a great name behind it along with great packaging. New updated look makes for an impressive package.
At $1,000, this one makes a very strong case to forget the warehouse clubs. Most treadmills in this range fall short of Icon, but this one can stand strongly beside Icon's best offerings.
The Livestrong 10.0T is a good value at $999. You get a lot more quality and a better warranty than the 8.0T for a couple hundred dollars more. If you can afford to splurge a little more, however, we'd recommend the 13.0T. It comes with comes with a better warranty and gives you more room for running.
The walking area on this machine is good. The belt measures in at 20" x 55". This is a good 5" shorter than the standard 20" x 60" walking belt. Still, it should provide plenty of room for larger users to run on comfortably without altering their stride.
A pretty powerful motor keeps this machine running. There aren't many in this price range that are better. In fact, you can find several models that cost $1,000 more that have similar power producing capabilities. You can reach speeds of up to 12mph on this treadmill. That should be fast enough to challenge even experienced runners.
The cushioning system is pretty nice, as well. MaxComfort cushioning is used to reduce the impact that running has on your joints and back. It's not easy to find a cushioning system that is more forgiving and durable without spending at least a few hundred dollars more.
As far as projected reliability is concerned, this treadmill does well for the cost. Many models costing several hundred dollars more than this one have a shorter life expectancy. The quality of parts used is about as good as you can get without spending more money.
The warranty on the Livestrong 10.0T isn't great. Labor is covered for 1 year, parts are covered for 3 years, and the frame is covered for life. For how little this machine costs, that kind of coverage is actually a good amount, but it's still hard to get excited about this warranty.
