Bodyguard T280S Treadmill Review
treadmill Doctor Note :
A high quality and high priced machine. With the reduction in the MSRP for this year, we like this model selection better.
One of the best choices of the Bodyguard line. When you compare it with what you can get from Landice and True, it can make a claim for superiority in some areas, in some areas it is inferior.
The Bodyguard T280S is probably the best value you can get from Bodyguard. The quality is good, and the price has dropped. At $3,499, it is still priced a bit too high, but there are certainly much worse options at this price. If you can get a discount on this treadmill, there's no reason not to go for it especially considering the extensive coverage that is associated with it.
The walking area is a good size. The belt measures in at 22" x 60", which is a solid 2" wider than the standard 20" x 60" walking belt that is found on many of today's treadmills. Larger users with a wider stance may find this treadmill to be more accommodating than most.
A good motor powers this machine, but you can save $2,000 and get a treadmill with greater power producing capabilities. Speeds of up to 12 mph are attainable, so even experienced runners should have no problem challenging themselves.
A good cushioning system comes on this model. BDS cushioning is used to reduce the impact that running has on your joints and back. If you know where to look, however, you can find treadmills that cost $1,500 less and have more forgiving and durable running surfaces.
As far as projected reliability is concerned, this machine is okay, but there are several models that cost $1,000 less than this one and have comparable life expectancies. The quality of parts is also unimpressive at this price range.
The warranty on the Bodyguard T280S is great. Labor is covered for 3 years, parts are covered for 10 years, and the motor and frame are covered for life. While the warranty is extremely impressive, it shouldn't lead you to believe this treadmill is more durable than it actually is.
