Bodyguard's quality even though it is made in China is beyond what most others are producing in Asia.

The Bodyguard T240S is a good quality treadmill with a warranty that brings a smile to your face. At one time, this was a best buy winner for us, but the price has increased. At $2,599, this machine is not a terribly good value. You should explore other options in this price range if your considering this model.

The walking area is a decent size. The belt measures in at 20" x 54", which is a good 6" shorter than the standard 20" x 60" walking belt that is found on many of today's treadmills. This should still provide enough room for larger users to run on comfortably without altering their stride.

An okay motor powers this machine, but we have seen a couple of treadmills selling for $999 that have similar power producing capabilities. Speeds of up to 11 mph are attainable, so most users should have no problem challenging themselves.

A disappointing cushioning system comes on this model. BDS cushioning is used to reduce the impact that running has on your joints and back. You can find similarly forgiving and durable running surfaces on models that cost $1,000 less than this one.

As far as projected reliability is concerned, this machine is great. There are a few cheaper treadmills that have a longer life expectancy, but generally speaking, this is the kind of durability you expect to see in models that cost up to $5,000. The quality of parts used is also impressive.

The warranty on the Bodyguard T240S is fantastic. Labor is covered for 3 years, parts are covered for 10 years, and the motor and frame are covered for life. You may be asked to spend more than this treadmill deserves, but you certainly won't be upset with the coverage or durability.
