How long will the Xterra TR200 last?

With its folding design, the Xterra TR200 weighs only 97 lbs. and can handle users up to 250 lbs., but we would not recommend going faster than light to moderate walking on it. The lifetime warranty on the frame gives the consumer faith in their purchase, and even though the 90-days parts and labor warranty…absurdly low, the 1-year motor warranty is a nice boon. Keep in mind this is a beginning treadmill and being on the lower end of the cost spectrum, will not be the last treadmill you purchase if you decide to continue the fitness path you start.

Brief Overview

While Xterra offers quite a few choices in their budget friendly offerings, we do not see the difference to warrant an upsurge in the price between the TR200 and the TR150. Despite that, the TR200 is a sound option for those who are watching their budgets and just beginning on their treadmill journey.

Overall Quality

The Xterra TR200 is an average treadmill that has most of the features you’d expect at this price point and in general, it is a decent choice for those who are looking to get their exercises in without too much fuss. It has most of the features found on treadmills at this price point but falls short when it comes to incline levels, having only 3 settings and those being manual to boot.

When you are working out, there should be no need to exit your machine or reset it every time you want more resistance; especially when only a low amount of 3 different levels is offered.

Xterra created the TR200 as a great indoor training tool for light to moderate walkers. This monitor features an LCD console and Hand Pulse Grips, which help keep track of all feedback and keep you on target for achieving goals. The 2.25 HP motor enables speeds from 0.5 mph - 10mph making this unit efficient at producing smooth training for the shorter and smaller person due to the 16” x 50” workout area. It also offers a reading rack and accessory holders.

Conclusion

The Xterra TR200 is a basic starter treadmill that offers a decent value for its price. With features rivaling those found on competitive models, this machine makes it an excellent option if you are just beginning your fitness journey or just feel the need to walk indoors. Of course, shopping around will show you there are models at this price level that come with automatic inclines which is a definite game changer in the treadmill game. As always, you make a gamble when purchasing treadmills in the under $500 category so make sure to compare and contrast features to find the best treadmill for your fitness plan.
