How long will the Peloton Bike Plus last?

With a graceful mix of steel and aluminum, the Peloton Bike Plus holds up to 297 lbs. maximum capacity and weighs a decent 140 lbs. when fully assembled. Peloton offers a reasonable 5 years on the frame and 12 month limited parts and labor warranty, but those wanting to seriously train can invest in an extended warranty on parts and labor (24 or 39 months). The Bike Plus is best suited for moderate use and will last for many years with proper care and maintenance. Peloton also offers a 30-day in-home trial and will come and pick up the bike if consumers are not completely satisfied during that time.

Brief Overview

For the second year in a row, the Peloton Bike Plus has won our First Place Best Buy Award for the $2,000 to $2,999 Dollar Range. It is appealing to fitness users of many levels and comes chock full of technology and functionality for the lucky consumer. The Bike Plus has a sleek 4.9-foot frame which fits easily into any workout space and when purchased through the Peloton website includes free delivery and assembly. The main downside seen with this bike is that an All-Access Peloton Membership is required with each purchase of this indoor riding machine along with specific Delta-compatible shoes to clip into the pedals.

Overall Quality

The Peloton Bike Plus offers a large 23.8” HD touchscreen that rotates a full 360 degrees for workouts which incorporate off-machine exercises. All-Access membership opens immersive workouts with elite trainers, on-demand classes, and rides through foreign lands. Consumers who carry their lives on their wrists will be happy to hear the Bike Plus connects seamlessly to the Apple Watch for keeping up with pertinent performance information. The ergonomic saddle fits most and pedals are made from sturdy aluminum and have quality forged steel crank arms for higher intensity training sessions. The Bike Plus has a smooth performing belt-driven system with high levels of resistance that can be controlled with a quick twist of a knob or through instructor-led training which mimics the feel of riding through outdoor terrains.
