Avoid this treadmill like the plague! If you have a runaway with the open-loop system, you're likely out of luck!
Overall Quality
We couldn't believe when we pulled the motor hood and saw that this is built on an open-loop system. Open-loop means that the console tells the controller the voltage to put into the motor. Most companies use a speed sensor then to tell the console what is going on so a safety system can shut down the machine if something is wrong but the Asian factory that built this one decided to skip that last step so pray that if you buy this one for your mother that her insurance is paid up.
