| General Information: Quantum was started in the 1990’s and they were well known for their commercial ab machines and introduced some innovative products in the commercial arena. They have decided to branch out and make many more products for the home market, including treadmills, but they have had a hard time making a go of it. Due to their small dealer presence, we dropped coverage of Quantum last year. |

| Manufacturing Philosophy: It appears that Quantum is trying to package a machine in an affordable price point with an acceptable level of quality. Fit and finish still needs to be worked upon but their machine did very well in our tests. Overall, with Lifefitness, True, and Precor stepping up to the plate in these price ranges, we wonder why you would buy a Quantum. |

| Company Outlook: We’re not sure where Quantum will end up but we expect that you won't find them at your local retailer long-term. They have good designers, but with so many factories fighting over a limited number of specialty retailers it will be interesting to see where Quantum ends up once all of this shakes out. |
