Gold's Gym 450 -The winner of our Best Buy award under $400! If you are going to baby it and not use it much, this is your choice.

Runner Up's Under $399
1 - Fitness Gear 821T
2 - Weslo Cadence GTX
3 - Weslo Cadence C44

Best Buy $400 to $699 bulletSponsored links

Reebok S9.80 - A clear winner for $700 at Sam's Club. They have used plenty of plastic on this one but we have a hard time understanding how they are able to sell these for $700...the value for the dollar is simply amazing!

Runner Up's $400 to $699
1 - HealthRider Club H90t
2 - Reebok R 5.80
3 - Horizon T101
Best Buy $700 to $999 bulletSponsored links

An unprecedented three way tie in this category:

NordicTrack Commercial ZS - Our first ever tie winner for a Best Buy award in the $1000 price range. This is essentially the Commercial 1500 from two years ago updated with a refined console and ifit capability. That was the one shortcoming of the 1500 model but our guess is that Costco will sell a bunch of these again this year. They had a run of bad controllers and when Icon has a parts problem, it is like a giraffe with a sore throat. That, reportedly, has been taken care of.

Epic View 550 - Sam's Club has these again in store for only $999. It is a kissing cousin to the NordicTrack ZS sold at Costco but for $100 more you get the integrated TV. With the cosmetic upgrades, it is hard to justify buying machines costing twice as much when you see what is under the skin.

Reebok T12.80 - A fantastic machine for the money. Still the heart rate grips don't work but for about $50, you can get a Polar monitor that works every time and can be used running outside or biking, etc.

Runner Up's $700 to $999
1 - Horizon T1201
2 - NordicTrack Commercial 1500
3 - Livestrong 9.9T
Best Buy $1000 to $1499 bulletSponsored links

Sole F80 - Sole made some really good upgrades to the F80 for 2009 and then left it alone for 2010 along with leaving the pricing alone. Good move because it resulted in a Best Buy in its range!

Runner Up's $1000 to $1499
1 - HealthRider H140t
2 - Vision T9200 Simple
3 - Spirit XT285
Best Buy $1500 to $1999 bulletSponsored links

Sole S77 - A real winner in the under $2000 segment- in fact it is our Best Buy winner in the $2000 price range. With the occasional sale price of $1999 for the TT8, we would consider the TT8 for only $100 more...that one is the real steal in the Sole lineup for this year if you can find it on sale.

Runner Up's $1500 to $1999
1 - Smooth 7.6 Pro
2 - Smooth 9.35HR
3 - Livestrong 16.9T
Best Buy $2000 to $2499 bulletSponsored links

Lifespan Pro 3 - With the price hike for the Pro 5 this year (and we can understand it with the parts they are using on the Pro 5) the gap is wide enough that many may want to go for this model. Our Best Buy winner in the $2500 range!

Runner Up's $2000 to $2499
1 - Vision T9600 Simple
2 - Sole TT8
3 - Bodyguard T240
Best Buy $2500 to $2999 bulletSponsored links

True PS300 - True does the best job with orthopedic belts and the PS300 is no exception to this rule. If you are looking for an affordable True that has a 60” belt, this is your best option.

Runner Up's $2500 to $2999
1 - Vision T9600 Premiere
2 - True PS100
3 - Pacemaster Platinum Pro VR
Best Buy $3000 to $3999 bulletSponsored links

True Z5.0 -The classic design that put True on the map. It is a great design if you want a full-featured, quality treadmill and have limited room. It also is quiet and soft- not bad but what did you expect for nearly $4k.

Runner Up's $3000 to $3999
1 - Lifespan Pro 5
2 - True PS800
3 - Bodyguard T280P
Best Buy $4000 and Up bulletSponsored links

Lifefitness Club Series- The Club Series borrows heavily from their commercial units. Just when you thought everyone was going to increase prices this year, Lifefitness held the line on price. I guess even the rich people are looking for a deal this year.

Runner Up's $4000 and up
1 - Star Trac E-TR
2 - Cybex LCX 425T
3 - Freemotion Incline Trainer i7.7
Best Buy - Best fold up treadmill bulletSponsored links
Sole F85 - A great looking treadmill that has a very functional folding feature. With the price decrease and other improvements to electronics and belt, this puts it near the top of the fold up field.

Runner Up's - best fold up treadmill
1 - Lifefitness F3 Advanced
2 - Lifefitness F3 Basic
Best Buy - best new treadmill bulletSponsored links

Livestrong 12.9T - One of the best values on the market and our Best Buy winner for best new treadmill. If you have been looking for a mid-range machine, this should make your short list.

Runner Up's - best new treadmill
1 - Lifespan TR200
2 - Woodway Speedboard
3 - Xterra TR550

Editor's Note: It is our policy of intentionally erring on the side of caution concerning reliability ratings so a key component in the rating still will be a heavy factor in the final score and these ratings were given with caution in mind. Once an treadmill wins a best buy in its price range, it is ineligible for a best buy rating in another category.
