Our best buy winner in the $4000 and up, the Precor AMT, is not for the faint of pocketbook! Precor attempts to market this as a completely new exercise, and when we reviewed it last year we really didn't know where to put it. If you ask most people, and after we used it several times, we determined that this is just a natural evolution of the elliptical trainer. It is definitely an elliptical motion, but it effortlessly adapts the motion to your body's individual gait and movement. Beause of that, it is almost infinitely adjustable from a user standpoint. Unfortunately, Precor doesn't make a home version of this machine so if you want it, be prepared to pay though the nose ... but it's worth it if you have the money! |
