Last year we gave this unit the Jeffery Skilling Enron Award for milking the last drop out of the consumer … we guess they wanted a repeat with a $100 price increase.

First, Octane is not a rip-off, but neither is it an appropriate value for your money. I would seriously consider this elliptical if you could get it under $2000, but beyond that you need to look at many of the really good ellipticals in this price range. The competition is getting hard and heavy and Octane is getting left behind.
