With the price hike for the Pro 5 this year (and we can understand it with the parts they are using on the Pro 5) the gap is wide enough that some may want to go for this model. The TR4000i though would save you $500 and you get the interactive features of the new console.

If you want a higher end Lifespan, either the TR4000i or the Pro 5 makes more sense. The drive system in the Pro 5 is that much better than the one in the Pro 3.
