The selectstride option available on the X 5 is a nice feature if you need or want a variable stride on your elliptical. We like the manual stride adjustment especially considering the amount of trouble we have seen over the years with automatic stride adjustment mechanisms. Although you are paying a lot for the Lifefitness name this unit is worth looking at.
