I don't like the Advanced vs. Basic console pattern that Lifefitness is offering in their consoles. It is not like they are not attractive, and they are functional. I just think the industry is past the point where you can charge money for extra programs or heart rate functionality. The component cost for these options is usually less than $20 so we just can see paying $300. Most companies are moving to include these type of options as standard and we sure wish that Lifefitness would start doing the same.
