The Lifefitness X 1 Advanced is the advanced console version of the X 1 Basic. For the extra $300 you get 5 additional programs, a Polar® heart rate strap, and heart rate functionality. This is a decent unit, but the advanced console is not worth the money. Other companies offer similar features standard for less money. If you like this unit buy the X 1 Basic or buy something else. Diamondback makes a good alternative with their 860 Er.
