General Information: True was started in the early 80's by the Trulaske brothers and is known for their treadmill’s incredibly quiet operation and soft feel. True is also notorious for their lack of ability in designing quality ellipticals.  After much R&D True has committed to down different elliptical designs.  Their Front-Drive elliptical is a great value.  Their lineup of Center-Drive machines are the best core drive machines we have seen this year, but we are still not sold on the core drive concept.

Manufacturing Philosophy: True uses good components on their machines and believes in testing the heck out of them before they ship.  We gained a new perspective by visiting the factory over the last 2 years.  They believe in taking care of customers which goes a long way in today’s world.

Company Outlook: True is one of the rocks in the business and will be around for a long time to come.  Since the majority of True’s machines sell in the higher price range, we believe that the pressure felt by many American manufacturers won’t apply to True due to the low volume of units involved.
