General Information: Bodyguard introduced two new Chinese models at the low end of the line two years ago and the results were stunning…as in good.  Bodyguard has only been manufacturing treadmills since 1995 but they have used the same quality construction that has been their trademark since 1969. Their parent company is Procycle, a large Canadian company. Bodyguard's elliptical lineup has not had the same luck as their treadmills. Considering the disaster that was the E 350, Bodyguards new linup of ellipticals is outstanding. Bodyguard would get the award for making the most progress in a single year.

Manufacturing Philosophy: Their design philosophy is to build a good elliptical and then price it according to the cost of the quality level.  Many makers like to pinpoint the price point they want and then build the elliptical to the price point which causes most to cut corners in order to hit a sales price.  This philosophy forces them to abandon low price points but ends up benefiting the consumer.

Company Outlook: Bodyguard had a corporate shakeup over two years ago and the results were very good.  Overall, Procycle is a strong company so that would bode well for Bodyguard’s future.
